God Always Makes A Way For His People

Joshua 3 vs 7-8

And the Lord said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee.

And thou shalt command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When ye are come to the brink of the water of Jordan, ye shall stand still in Jordan.

Some of you may already know how this story ended because when the feet of the priest who bore the ark of the covenant dipped in the edges of the water of the River Jordan the waters which came down from upstream stood still and rose in a heap very away from where the priests where standing. They stood at another city which the bible calls Adam. All the waters were cut off to allow the children of Israel to pass over. This was the second time that The Lord opened a way for the children of Israel. The first time was when Moses was alive and he used his rode to open the Red Sea. Now God used Joshua who was Moses's disciple to open the Jordan River.

God never works alone if you really look at everything in The Bible. God has to work with someone. I know sometimes we use our blessings because we are waiting for God to do everything for us. We pray and then we just wait but sometimes we have to act. We need to pray and allow God to give us direction then we have to go and act. God does His part and we do our part this is the first lesson i saw in this story that God never works alone, everytime He has to perform a miracle He has to us a man. Like He did with Moses and now it's Joshua.

The second thing is God never runs out of ideas to bless His people. Those who believe in Him always see wonders. The elements of the earth can be commanded to obey the authority and the voice of God's servants, just like the rode of Moses was used to open the Red Sea. Here Joshua just gave a command, Joshua just instructed the priest to stand in the river and the dry ground appears. God always makes a way even when there seems to be no way. Do not be desperate, do not be discouraged just trust in Him, walk in His ways, obey His commandments and rivers and seas will be open for you.
