Isaiah 55 vs 10-11
10 As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
This is a very powerful verse were God is explaining the power of His word. He's telling us that His word, which is the bible is true. Every word that he has said will not come back to Him which means it will not go back to heaven but it will fulfill its mission here on earth. The word has been sent from heaven to us on earth just like the rain is sent from heaven to the earth and it comes to wet the ground, to give us crops and so does His word. It comes down from heaven to give us blessings.
So what is lacking in our lives? Why are we stressed, depressed and overwhelmed? I believe it's because we have wondered from His word. Do we really know the word of God? Do we really take time to read the bible? How do we know His word fully if we only depend on the bible reading that we here at church once a week on Sunday? You have to go through the word in your own time to not only know it but to also trust it and speak it into your life. Even when you are praying learn to include verses from the bible. Learn to say the word against your situations.
