Walking In The Fear Of God

2 Chronicles 31 vs 20-21: This is what Hezekiah did throughout Judah, doing what was good and right and faithful before the Lord his God. In everything that he undertook in the service of God’s temple and in obedience to the law and the commands, he sought his God and worked wholeheartedly. And so he prospered.

This was King Hezekiah who became King at the age of 25. Hezekiah was actually a grandson of the priest Zachariah. His mother was actually the daughter of the priest Zachariah. I was reading his story and i was amazed by the spirit of excellence in him. He was a man who always wanted to do right before God. Even when he was a King was always very humble, always among the people. Working with them to build a temple of the Lord. He was always worshipping and praying with them. He was a present leader he was not just boss. You know a boss is the on ewho gives people instructuctions, do this do that. He could do that because he was a King but he didn't because he was always humble and in these verses we just read we hear that he did what was good, right and true before the Lord his God.

How many of us are doing our work like King Hezekiah. Doing what is good what is right and what is true. This means walking in the fear of God all the time. Treating people with love, respect and fairness. Notice how the verse says before the Lord his God and not just the Lord. He had personalized his relationship with God, he loved the Lord.

The second part mentions about his service to the Lord, he did everything with all his heart so he prospered. Here lies the secret of prosperity. It's in doing what is good, true and right before the Lord your God and all the work you do to do it with all your heart.
